i am often asked what sort of “baby plan” i offer to document the milestones of baby’s first year. six or seven years ago, i developed the ‘year in the life collection’ which was an instant hit and has proved to be very, very popular over the years. in it’s current form, it involves 3 or 4 weekday sessions over the course of a bit more than a year, and a beautifully custom-designed coffee table book containing images from each session. it’s really a wonderful way to capture a child’s first year (perhaps maternity, newborn, 7-8 months and one year) or even just your family over the seasons (building a snowman in the winter, puddle jumping in the spring, a lemonade stand in the summer, and the coveted fall colors portrait session in the fall). i love seeing how families divvy up their sessions but most of all, i love getting to watch the babies grow up and for the older kids, seeing them often enough to develop a rapport with them.
so speaking of year in the life collections, this is this little dude’s 3rd session with me. his first session was while he was in his mama’s belly, second was at just a few days old.
